About Albert Lea
Albert Lea is named after Albert Miller Lea, who was a topographer, in 1855 and became an incorporated city in 1878. It is the county seat located in Freeborn County in southern Minnesota. Albert Lea is home to born and raised rock-and-roll legend Eddie Cochran, Marion Ross who played Mrs. Cunningham on Happy Days, was the first industrial park in the nation, and the first Blue Zones city in the nation!
